OUR
VISION
We see a multicultural church that is deeply rooted in our city and committed to serving its diverse communities. A church without boundaries. Loving, serving, and believing for the great plans that God has for our city.
We desire to embody God's love by engaging in service that addresses the spiritual, social, and physical needs of our city.
We strive to be a unifying force in the community, bringing people of different backgrounds and perspectives together for the Glory of God.
We partner with each other in this mission, as we aim to be a catalyst for the transformation that brings Jesus, to our city and the world.
Co
Love God. Love People.
The law and prophets hang on these two commandments. We live to glorify God and make Him known.
Matthew 22:37-39 ESV
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Worship.
Worship flows from surrender, and satisfaction. We seek to know God and respond with satisfaction in him. Valuing him. Treasuring him.
Romans 12:1
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
Integrity.
We worship with integrity. We dive into scripture with integrity. We serve with integrity. So that, in whatever we do, God would be glorified.
Proverbs 11:3
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.
Servitude
We pray that Hat City Church becomes more and more a church that serves each other, cares for each other, helps each other, encourages each other, prays for each other, gives to each other, and perseveres with each other.
Hebrews 6:10
For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.
Faithfulness
It is hard to be faithful, but it is essential. We faithfully love and serve because God is faithful to us. True community is established when the people of God faithfully commit to each other in humility and servitude.
2 Timothy 2:11
The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him. If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us. If we are faithless, he remains faithful.
Excellence
There is only one that is perfect, Jesus. We are not perfect. However, we believe in the attitude of excellence. Not just Excellence in skill, but also in attitude and relationships as we believe that upholding excellence glorifies God in every good work.
Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
Sacrifice
We believe that calling is not comfortable. When God calls us, he calls us to sacrifice our time, our priorities, our own dreams and desires, and our comfort. Surrender takes sacrifice.
Ephesians 5:2
And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
