Our Beliefs

The Trinity - We believe that God exists as one essence and three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each are fully God, yet are one.

God the Father - God is great, infinite, without origin, never changing, all powerful, all knowing, always everywhere in time, and place. He is infinite wisdom, faithful, and good. He is just, merciful, and gracious. God is love, holy, and glorious.

The Son - Jesus Christ is completely human and at the same time completely God. He is the only plan of salvation and reconciliation between man and God. He is the perfect expression of the Father and the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. He took our place, and felt the weight of OUR sins. He defeated death so we could have life. No one goes to the Father except through Him alone.

The Holy Spirit - The presence of the Holy Spirit is the assurance of how we stand before God. He encourages us, and guides us to the truth. He convicts us of our sins, and reminds us of God's righteousness and the day of the Lord to come. He gives us gifts according to His will that encourage and edify the Church, making us more like Christ.

Sin - We believe that sin has separated man from God, and his purpose for our lives.

Salvation - We believe that in order to receive forgiveness we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ, his teachings and his sacrifice, and submit to his will for our lives. We believe that salvation is only by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone and not by our works.

The Bible - We believe the Bible is God’s word and completely inspired by Him. Under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Bible was written by Human authors and is completely relevant to our day to day lives today.

Revelation - We believe that God has revealed himself to us through Jesus Christ, His Word, and Creation.

Man/Humanity - We are made in the image of God and possess intrinsic dignity and worth. Created to have fellowship with God, because of the fall, Man cannot attain a right relationship with God through our own efforts, but only by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone and his finished work on the cross. Every human is unique, full of purpose, worth, worthy of respect, and love no matter age, gender, cultural background, or race for God so loved the WORLD, that He gave his only son. That we would not perish, but have everlasting life.

Creation - We believe that God is the Alpha and the Omega. That through him, and for him all things came into existence. And He governs all things, in all places, at all times.

Church - We believe the Church is the move of God for the world today. We believe the Church is the body of Christ sent into the world, to reflect his image and love. We believe the Church is a community of believers baptized into one faith, unified and committed to the teachings of Christ, and obeying his principles and commands. We believe every believer belongs to this body, and has a specific role and purpose within the body of Christ and the communities in which we live.

Baptism - We believe in the command of Jesus Christ as given to us in the great commission, to go into all the world, to preach the Gospel, and to make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by immersion into water. This is meant to symbolically represent a believer's relationship with Christ in his death and resurrection.

Communion - We believe in the breaking of bread in remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We believe the elements represent the body of Christ that was broken for us, and the blood of Christ that was shed for our sins.

Heaven and Hell - We believe in the reality of heaven and hell. We believe we were created to live forever, and man will either exist eternally separated from God because of sin in Hell, or eternally in union with God because of repentance and surrender to Christ in heaven.
